Mainly because that's what our Saturdays are filled with, but also because I don't have the brainpower to come up with other clever things :)
Today Nicholas is seven months old.
Army crawling all over the place, laughing hysterically at his brothers, which in turn causes them to perform for him, which keeps him laughing. It's a wonderful cycle.
This morning, bright and early, was the City Championship Cross Country meet for the area Lutheran schools. This meet was held at Lutheran High School St. Charles, which was where the boys had their first cross country race several weeks ago.
The last week has been so busy, the boys were exhausted, having missed bedtime for boy scouts last night. Christian wasn't really thrilled to be there at first. It didn't help that we had to choose between soccer and cross country, as both were scheduled at the same time.
He got lots of pep talks...from Daddy, from the coaches, from other parents.
On the starting line. They're in the middle, just to the right of the gator.
Off goes Connor.
Pushing hard down the stretch.
Christian placed second overall in the K-2 age group.
Connor finished strong, holding his own against the older kids.
Overall, the CCLS team did great. The 5-8 girls took first place overall as a team. The 5-8 boys took second overall as a team. There are some great runners at all grade levels on the team, like this group of second graders, all medaling today.
